I sure hope so. Yahoo Answers seems to be thriving, the user base is growing, and people really like it. Ithink Yahoo has figured out that it has the user base, brand, and internal strenght to compete with the new social networks without having to acquire other brands like FOX did with MySpace. I like that attitude - go for it!

Thanks for the kind words about Y! Answers. I'm the design lead for the product. It's just been outstanding to watch the community grow. As of February we have over 130 million Answers. Not too long ago we launched the Answers Network, a social networking component to help people grow their knowledge.
